Restorative Dentistry
DENTAL IMPLANTS
Dental implants are screw designed surgical components that interface with the bone of the jaw or skull to support a dental prosthesis such as a crown, bridge, denture, facial prosthesis or to act as an orthodontic anchor. An implant replaces the natural tooth from the crown to the root, where the tooth loss has occurred.
Implant is the closest rehabilitating method to natural tooth without damaging the adjacent teeth.
DENTAL CROWNS AND BRIDGES
Dental crowns and bridges are fixed prosthetic devices that are cemented onto existing teeth or implants by a dentist or prosthodontist. Crowns are used most commonly to entirely cover or “cap” a severely damaged tooth or cover an implant. Bridges are commonly used to cover a space if you’re missing one or more teeth. They are cemented to natural teeth or implants surrounding the space where the tooth once stood.
Benefits
Aside from strengthening a damaged tooth, bridges and crowns can be used to improve a tooth’s appearance, shape, alignment and dental occlusion (bite). Gaps left by missing teeth can cause the remaining teeth to shift, which can result in a bad bite. Bridges and crowns help prevent this from happening.
INLAYS AND ONLAYS
Dental inlays and onlays are restorations used to repair rear teeth with mild to moderate decay or cracked and fractured teeth that are not sufficiently damaged to need a crown.

- They strengthen teeth by up to 75% unlike traditional metal fillings

FILLINGS/ RESTORATIONS
A dental restoration or dental filling is a dental restorative material used to close off spaces and to restore the function, integrity and morphology of missing tooth structure. The structural loss typically results from caries or external trauma. Teeth can be filled with gold, silver amalgam, or tooth-colored plastic materials called composite resin fillings.
Dental restoration also refers to the replacement of missing tooth structure that is supported by dental implants.
FULL MOUTH RECONSTRUCTION
Full mouth reconstruction or full mouth rehabilitation refers to rebuilding all of the teeth in a patient’s mouth. This procedure combines aesthetics with the science of restorative dentistry to improve the health, function, and beauty of the smile. Crowns (caps), dental bridges, dental veneers, and/or dental implants may be used in a full mouth reconstruction. In some cases, orthodontics may also be employed to help properly position the jaw and align the teeth.
Those with severe dental problems are candidates for this type of procedure.
